Interesting read. The site it links to only goes back to cars made after 2000 though. Did find out I've been changing my oil in the Focus almost twice as often as Ford recommends.

I dont worry about that, i just do a continual oil change. Half of the oil gets changed every 3k miles, so if you add that up every 6k miles, in theory, all of my oil gets changed

then you have old school ford way; the oil pan leaks quart oil a month so add one quart at first month and dont worry about oil change until spring and change all filter you can afford. This was from a kidd that flunked out of UNOH.
