I see people all the time who talk and have the phone make a text and then have the phone read incoming texts

Google maps works (Maps, earth, latitude, streetview) Soundhound (ID songs) GTunes (DL free music) Astro File Manager (Allows more in depth managment of phone and SD card files) USA Today (News) WikiDroid (Wikipedia in a mobile format) Barcode Scanner w/Google Shopper (Scan codes and allow the phone to search for a better price, ID product, etc) Pixlr-0-matic (Take and modify pics, lighting, effects, etc) Newegg (Because i'm a computer nerd) Pulse (A multi-source news reader, must-have) Google Current (New app very similar to Pulse) W&Y Pages (Phone book which links to maps) Zedge (Free ringtones, etc) Pandora Slacker Radio The Weather Channel Beautiful Widgets (For those without an HTC phone that like a really nice weather clock) Kelley Blue Book QR Droid (Reads QR codes) PDANet (Allows tethering of your data to a latop/PC) Audiko (Free music ringtones, notifications, etc...Only available at their site) Bubble (Bubble level) Autozone TeslaLED (lots of flashlights in one, including strobe and cherries and berries...use at your own risk) Apparatus (One helluva fun and hard game. Think Angry Birds meets mechanical engineering) Scanner Radio (Police, HP and fire scanner) Garage Buddy (A bunch of helpful calcs and formulas) Car Performance (GPS, speedo check and estimates 0-60, 1/4, etc) Torque (Along with the adapters from ebay, etc, allow you to read, diag and adjust OBDII equipped cars) MMC Droid once the BT adapter is available. Some of my favorites:
FTPCafe - use to connect to my personal sftp server at home (I'm a nerd) 2XClient - Remote desktop into my home computer (nerd) Citrix Reciever - Connect to a Citrix session at work (professional nerd) go2meeting - connect to conference calls and webinars from go2meeting.com Prey - Security application to turn on and log GPS locations if I text it a code from Maggie's phone (in case my phone gets lost/stolen) Dolphin Browser - better internet browser Pandora - music Winamp - music Brother In Arms 2 - Like medal of honor for your phone. Fun but difficult to control at times ebay Calorie Counter - logs what you eat and how much you exercise OI File Manager - File explorer for android Redbox - shows close by Redboxes that have a movie I'm looking for

had dolphin hp till i found out it comes with a third party tracking
found on android police:
As it turns out, Dolphin HD, one of the top browsers the Android platform has to offer, sends pretty much every web page url you visit, including those that start with https, to a remote server en.mywebzines.com, which belongs to the company. In fact, the WebZines feature was introduced only recently back in June with version 6.0, so it's safe to say this tracking started around the same time.
I've fired up a packet sniffer and indeed found every url I visited, including AndroidPolice.com, Gmail on https, reddit, etc. instantly sent to en.mywebzines.com, in plain-text at that. Now, the latter is not as important, as your http requests can already be sniffed by anyone on the local network, but the fact that every single url is reported to Dolphin's headquarters is more than disturbing.
Note: To be clear, the data reported includes only urls and not contents of web pages themselves.
I wasn't able to find a privacy policy that covers this aspect of Dolphin (i.e. the app itself), and frankly I don't think an official document that confirms these intentions exists. Did they really think somebody wouldn't notice?

Yeah, the downside to all these phone apps is the level of data logging being done by a lot of the companies. It enables them to do some pretty neat stuff. For example, there is a typing game for windows mobile that they use to build more accurate predictive keyboards. Pretty neat idea, but it means they have to log every key you type, pretty scary idea. It all bottoms out to who you think you can trust and what will happen when you are wrong. Ultimately the only urls I go to are the work pages that I develop for testing and google for quick searches. Still though, that's my business not Dolphin's.
Thanks for the tip on Dolphin, any good alternatives? I can't stand the stock browser from tmobile.

It's not the T-mobile browser. It's what the OEM puts on their UI. HTC has their own, Samsung, etc. Dolphin and Mozilla are your 2 most common 3rd party atm. Chrome will be soon with Android 4.0. If you wouldn't mind another OEM browser, you can just root, and install whatever rom you want.

I see. I took it for t-mobile because they have ads every two seconds. Thinking about rooting, but I need to read a lot more before I make the jump. I am not a fan of f'in things up.
